When financing heavy equipment, how much does the age of the machine affect the rates and approval process? Have you noticed a big difference between financing newer equipment versus older, high-hour machines?
From what I've seen, newer machines usually get better financing terms, while older high-hour equipment often gets a little more scrutiny. A solid maintenance history can definitely help, though. When financing heavy equipment, how much does the age of the machine affect the rates and approval process? You are right; it can make a noticeable difference.Newer machines usually get better rates.
I agree. I've also noticed lenders are much more comfortable with older machines when there's a complete service history and inspection report to back up the condition. From what I've seen, newer machines usually get better financing terms, while older high-hour equipment often gets a little more scrutiny.
