Anyone dealt with a leaking recoil spring cylinder on a CAT D6D?

Mine is leaking grease whenever we tighten the tracks. Is there a way to repair it without cutting the spring and replacing the whole unit?

A lot of people usually try resealing or rebuilding the adjuster first before going straight to replacing the whole assembly. Definitely worth checking early before it loses tension completely.
