Let the machine warm up properly, grease more often, and watch hoses and seals since cold temps make everything brittle.

Also, keep snow and ice off linkages and electrical connections whenever you can.

Keep fluids winter-rated (engine oil, coolant, hydraulics), check your batteries often, and don't ignore block heaters; they're lifesavers in the cold.

Right, the block heaters especially. Thanks for this very helpful list of tips, because of you I won't have to worry about my grader in winters anymore.
 
Excellent points, james. i would also add checking tire pressure regualrly, as cold weather can lower it significantly, and inspecting the undercarriage for ice buildup, which can affect operation and safety. preventive checks before each shift go a long way in avoiding costly downtime during winter.
 
Great tips! Winter can be really tough on heavy machinery like motor graders. I especially like the advice about checking fluids and battery health before the cold sets in. Regular maintenance now definitely saves a lot of headaches later on
