Hey everyone!

I’ve been looking into different types of heavy equipment, and I keep seeing loaders mentioned a lot. What are loaders mainly used for in construction and other industries? Are there specific types of loaders that work better for certain jobs, like skid steers vs. wheel loaders? Also, how do they compare to excavators when it comes to material handling? Would love to hear from those with experience! Thanks in advance

Hey Maxx, loaders are mainly used for moving materials like dirt, gravel, or debris around a job site. Skid steers are super versatile for tight spaces, while wheel loaders are better for bigger, more open areas. They’re a bit different from excavators, which are more about digging and lifting, but loaders are definitely the go-to for material handling. Anyone have a preference between wheel and track loaders? Curious which works best for tougher ground conditions!

Loaders are like the Swiss Army knives of the job site it's great for scooping, hauling, and stockpiling. Skid steers are clutch in tight spots or indoor work, while wheel loaders shine in bulk material moves on larger sites. Compared to excavators, loaders aren’t built for deep digging but crush it when it comes to speed and efficiency in material handling. Anyone else use track loaders in muddy or uneven terrain? They seem to hold their own pretty well.
