A week ago, me and my girlfriends Dad, a retired heavy equipment operator, did an at-home Oil Change on his Komatsu Excavator. About a few days later, we operated the machine for about 5 to 15 minutes tops and it started leaking what we thought was hydraulic fluid. We couldn't locate the leak but a few days later we found a puddle in the back left of the machine, opposite side of the radiator, and found out it wasn't hydraulic fluid but engine oil. We still cant find the leak in the system, and when we operated the machine days later, we found no leaks, the pump in the left side of the machine was making a loud noise, louder than usual and we figured it was because of the low oil level. Speaking of the oil level, I sat in the machine and saw the oil pressure gauge in the cab read about 47-49PSI, which is a little low. We operated the machine for about 5 minutes tops, moving the boom, opening and closing the bucket, rotating the cab, and moving the machine about 25 feet forward and back, still with no leaks, and not enough time to fully warm the machine up. Does anyone know of anything such as where to look, or of similar issues they may have had with their Komatsu PC200-LC3?
