How Do Forklifts Prevent Tipping Over?

Hey everyone,

I know forklifts carry heavy loads and sometimes operate on uneven surfaces, so how do they avoid tipping over? Is it mainly about weight distribution, design, or operator technique?

Also, what are the best safety practices to prevent tip-overs? Any insights from experienced operators would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Good question man! I think forklifts are designed with a low center of gravity and a wide wheelbase to help prevent tipping. A lot also comes down to proper weight distribution, keeping loads low and centered makes a big difference. Operator technique is huge too, like taking turns slowly and avoiding sudden stops. Also, always check the load capacity and avoid driving on steep slopes when possible. Stay safe out there!
