Hey everyone,

Just curious of what’s your go-to personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating a bucket truck? I know the basics like a hard hat and harness are standard, but are there any specific brands or gear you trust the most for comfort and safety? Do you use any extra protection depending on the type of job or weather conditions? I’m always looking to improve my setup and would love to hear what others rely on daily. Let’s swap some safety tips!

Great question, Alex! I never skip the full-body harness with a shock-absorbing lanyard that Guardian’s been solid for me. In colder months, I add insulated gloves and a windproof jacket that doesn’t bulk up too much. What is your favorite harness brand or cold-weather gear that holds up?

I always stick with a full-body harness (Guardian’s solid too), hard hat, and safety glasses, rain or shine. In winter, I throw on thermal gloves and a windproof hoodie to stay warm without losing mobility.

A full-body harness, hard hat, and safety glasses are definitely my go-to as well. In colder weather, insulated gloves and a windproof jacket make a big difference. What’s everyone’s favorite brand for harness comfort?

I’m with you all on the essentials, Guardian full-body harness, hard hat, and safety glasses are my go-to. For colder days, I like Milwaukee’s heated gear, keeps me warm without the bulk. Anyone else use heated PPE?

can’t go wrong with the basics such guardian harness, hard hat, and good gloves. I’ve started using Milwaukee heated gear in winter too, total game-changer on cold morning shifts. Anyone here ever try anti-fog safety glasses that actually work?

Appreciate all the solid replies.. sounds like we’re all on the same page with Guardian gear and layering up right. I’ve gotta try that Milwaukee heated gear ,,. been hearing nothing but good things.
